Day 1&2 Saigon... be overwhelmed by the thousands of motorbikes weaving through traffic in this, the most bustling city in Vietnam; evoke the charms of Saigon’s focal points by visiting Notre Dame church and the French-colonial era Central Post Office; stroll along the ancient Rue Cartinat or browse at the lively market of Ben Thanh; taste the sumptuous French cuisine or the traditional Vietnamese dishes that Saigon has to offer.

  
 

Day 3 Mekong... take a smooth ride to southern Saigon and reach the land that is home to friendly Mekong farmers and fishermen; walk across their lush orchards and sample a variety of seasonal tropical fruits; venture out in a small sampan and glide through the narrow canals and enjoy the tasty food of the Mekong, which is interestingly garnished and offered by these hospitable locals.

  
 

Day 4&5 HoiAn - Myson (flight Saigon-Danang)... fall in love with the peaceful ambience of this small town where architecture, cultural values and friendly locals artfully blend; walk in the ruins of ancient My Son holy land to recall the Champa people’s glory days dating from the 4th to the 13th century; balance your leisure time between lounging at the beach or happily emptying your wallet while browsing the world of handicrafts and souvenirs that HoiAn offers; or simply stroll along the riverside to get a feel for the olden days of the busy Faifo merchant port.

  
 

Day 6&7 Hue... experience a rewarding drive through magnificent scenery over the Ocean Clouds Pass on way to Hue; tour the striking sights that make Hue a Cultural Heritage Site while getting a special feel for the serenity and tranquility that Hue exhibits; board a dragon boat to cruise the Perfume River as the sun sets over the imposing ancient citadel; interact personally with a royal descendant family during a hosted dinner where you are their distinguish guests.

  
 

Day 8&9 Hanoi (flight Hue-Hanoi)... discover Hanoi’s enchanting Old Quarter as you walk through the narrow streets that were famous for its specialized craft making guilds, The guild streets were named for their product or location and still bear such names nowadays; wind you way up the French colonial areas with tree-lined boulevards and many a beautiful building; visit other interesting sights including the Temple of Literature and Little house-on-stilts where Uncle Ho used to live and work.

  
 

Day 10&11 Halong... witness typical Vietnamese daily life during the spectacular drive through northern rural landscapes; view rice fields and farming villages along the way; board your traditional wooden junk and cruise through the strangely shaped islands that dot this vast emerald Bay; enjoy a superb fresh sea food dinner and overnight in a comfortable and elegantly decorated cabin.

  
 

Day 12   Hanoi depart... this morning, enjoy a leisure breakfast; perhaps take a walk to the central lake area or do some last minute shopping. Be packed and ready for your flight home or onward for an extension to Laos.
