The British system has heavily influenced on Myanmar’s educational system. From kindergarten to primary and secondary schools, English is taught as an officially second language. After completing the obligatory five years of primary school, students can continue their studies at middle school and, if they keep on with their studies, they can major in science or arts during high school.
