History of Ta Prohm temple

The Buddhist temple – Ta Prohm was built up in 1186 AD by Jayavarman VII. It is a meaningful present that this king spent for his mother. At first, this temple is given the name Rajavihara meaning the personification of wisdom. Archaeologists found out that this temple was built by around 80,000 workers including 18 monks, 2,740 main workers, 615 dancers and other workers. It is so astonishing that 500 kilograms, 35 diamonds, 40,620 pearls and 2540 gemstones are materials used to create the temple’s architecture.
