Thien Cam beach – the emerald of Ha Tinh

The beauty of nature

The tourists will be impressed by clean coast, golden sand stretched, blue water and the gentle sound of waves lapping. Thien Cam is bound by Thien Cam Mountain, which makes a beautiful landscape of the harmony of the sea and mountain. Not far from the beach are En Island and Boc Island, where have fascinating rocks.

Interesting history

The name of Thien Cam Beach derives from a very interesting legendary which was told that when passing by this destination, King Hung took a rest at Ky La Mountain (the former name of Thien Cam) where he heard the waves of the sea whispering soft and gentle and the pine singing in the wind. Therefore, he imagined it like a melody created by a Heaven’s Lute. With such a great feeling, he renamed Ky la into Thien Cam which has been remained till today. Read more: travel to Vietnam

 Activities you should do here

Coming here, you will enjoy a lot of interesting activities. Walking on the golden sand and enjoy cool and clean blue sea is the best way to relax yourself. Furthermore, you can explore the architecture style of the 13th century and contemplate the famous set of painting called “The Kings of Hell’s Ten Palaces” in Yen Lac Pagoda. From here, if you walk along the beach to the North, you can visit 500 years old fishing village Cua Nhuong where you can make friends with villagers who are professional at fishing and making fish sauce. Fish sauce, a staple ingredient in numerous cultures in Asia and featured heavily in Vietnamese cuisine, is very famous here. You can also buy a small bottle of fish sauce as a special gift from Vietnam. Otherwise, if you are a fan of cuisine, do not forget to taste it at least one time.

Another choice is taking a boat to Boc Island to view the fascinating rocks. Behind these rocks is a clean beach ideal for swimming in the rippling of the water surface. Leaving Boc Island, the tourists should go to Tien seaside resort at Tuong Mount foot loaded with rock caves and sand banks, cross-valley full of fresh and salty water creating the tide line.
