Specifically, Thien Mu Pagoda is situated at the end of Kim Long Road in Huong Long Ward on the northern bank of famous Huong River. Have you ever heard about this legend of the pagoda? A very long time ago, local people in Hue saw an old woman in red appear on top of Ha Khe Hill regularly every night. Once, this lady foretold to people here that the Lord would visit and build a very important thing on the land where she was standing one someday. From then onwards, people call this hill Thien Mu Son which means Mountain of Lady of Heaven. Over hundreds years, having gone through countless great historical changes even damages and also restorations, Thien Mu Pagoda has long been considered as the unofficial symbol of the ancient city Hue. Travellers when enter the pagoda will be attracted attentions by Phuoc Duyen Tower – a seven-storey octagonal tower which was built in mid-19th century by King Thieu Tri to commemorate his grandmother’s 80th birthday anniversary.  You will see the main sanctuary of Thien Mu Pagoda, Dai Hung Palace where the Buddha is worshipped with impressive sculptures and a giant bell.
