DAY 1: SIEM REAP ARRIVAL

Upon arrival at Siem Reap International Airport, your English-speaking guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to relax after your journey or perhaps begin exploring the charming town center with its vibrant markets, cafes, and boutiques.

DAY 2: SIEM REAP - FULL DAY ANGKOR WAT COMPLEX EXPLORE

After breakfast, prepare for a day of wonder as you explore the magnificent Angkor Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Your journey begins at Angkor Thom, entering through its impressive South Gate with its rows of gods and demons. At the center of this ancient walled city stands the enigmatic Bayon Temple with its 54 towers adorned with over 200 smiling faces watching in all directions.

Continue to discover the Royal Enclosure, the mysterious Phimeanakas temple, the Elephants Terrace with its detailed carvings, and the Terrace of the Leper King with its hidden passageways. Next, visit Preah Khan, a massive temple-monastery that once housed over 1,000 monks and served as a Buddhist university.

DAY 3: SIEM REAP FREE DAY

Today is yours to explore Siem Reap at your leisure or choose from several optional activities.

Visit Bang Mealea, the untamed “jungle temple” largely unrestored and wrapped in vegetation. Experience rural Cambodian life with an ox cart ride through the countryside.

Discover the exquisite pink sandstone carvings at Banteay Srei, nicknamed the “Women’s Temple”. Venture further to the remote mountaintop temple of Preah Vihear or the pre-Angkorian ruins of Koh Ker.

DAY 4: SIEM REAP - FLIGHT TO PHNOM PENH - HALF DAY CITY TOUR

After breakfast, you’ll transfer to the airport for your short flight to Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s vibrant capital. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you and take you to your hotel to check in.

In the afternoon, discover Phnom Penh’s royal heritage with a visit to the spectacular Royal Palace, still the official residence of Cambodia’s king. Inside its gleaming yellow walls, you’ll find a small city of royal buildings. Continue to the Silver Pagoda, named for its floor covered with 5,000 silver tiles, which houses cultural treasures including a solid gold Buddha adorned with 2,086 diamonds. DAY 6: PHNOM PENH - FLIGHT TO HO CHI MINH CITY

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s largest and most dynamic metropolis. Upon arrival, your Vietnamese guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in the city center.

The remainder of the day is yours to begin exploring this vibrant city at your leisure. You might want to visit nearby Ben Thanh Night Market, enjoy a coffee at one of the stylish cafes, or simply soak in the energy of your new surroundings.

DAY 7: HO CHI MINH CITY TOUR HALF DAY - CU CHI TUNNELS

Your morning begins with a half-day city tour showcasing Ho Chi Minh City’s fascinating blend of history, culture, and architectural styles. Visit the historic Central Post Office, designed by Gustave Eiffel with its stunning vaulted ceiling and colonial maps. Next door stands the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral with its distinctive red brick facade and twin spires. Continue to Independence Hall (Reunification Palace), frozen in time since 1975 when tanks crashed through its gates, signaling the end of the Vietnam War.

Alternatively, you can take our optional full-day Mekong Delta tour, where you’ll cruise along the “rice bowl” of Vietnam. DAY 9: HO CHI MINH CITY - FLIGHT TO DA NANG - HOI AN WALKING ANCIENT TOWN

After an early breakfast, you’ll transfer to the airport for your flight to Da Nang in central Vietnam. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you and drive you along the coast to Hoi An.

In the late afternoon, when the day’s heat has subsided and the town begins to glow with lantern light, you’ll enjoy a walking tour through Hoi An’s enchanting Old Quarter. Visit the ornate Chinese Assembly Halls built by different merchant groups, cross the iconic 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge with its weathered wooden structure, explore the atmospheric Phuc Kien Pagoda, and step inside the ancient Tan Ky House where a family has preserved their merchant heritage for seven generations. DAY 11: HOI AM - DRIVE TO HUE - THIEN MU PAGODA - TU DUC TOMB

After breakfast, you’ll journey northward to Hue, Vietnam’s imperial capital during the Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945). Rather than taking the quick route through the tunnel, your driver will take the scenic Hai Van Pass, made famous by Top Gear, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the coastline where mountains meet the sea.

Upon reaching Hue, you’ll board a traditional dragon boat for a leisurely cruise along the Perfume River to explore the seven-story Thien Mu Pagoda with its iconic tower. This tranquil journey provides a different perspective of the city and surrounding countryside.

In the afternoon, visit the elaborate tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, set amid a pine forest beside a lake. Today is free for you to explore more of Hue at your own pace. You might want to visit the Imperial Citadel or shopping for conical hats and silk paintings at Dong Ba Market. DAY 13: HUE - FLIGHT TO HANOI - HANOI HALF-DAY WALKING TOUR

After breakfast, you’ll transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you and take you to your hotel to check in.

In the afternoon, discover Hanoi’s charm on a half-day walking tour. Browse through a local market where vendors sell everything from fresh produce to household goods. Walk through O Quan Chuong, one of the original gates to the Old Quarter dating back to the 13th century. Visit the neo-Gothic St. Joseph Cathedral, built by the French in 1886, and admire the magnificent Hanoi Opera House, modeled after the Palais Garnier in Paris.

Continue to Hoan Kiem Lake (Sword Lake), the heart of the city where locals gather to exercise, socialize, and play chess.

Here, you’ll attend a traditional water puppet show, a uniquely Vietnamese art form dating back to the 11th century, where puppeteers stand waist-deep in water to manipulate their characters, accompanied by live traditional music.

DAY 14: HANOI - HALONG PORT - BAI TU LONG BAY - CAP LA - CONG DO - OVERNIGHT ON CRUISE

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel between 8:00-8:30 am for your scenic journey to Halong Bay. Upon arrival at Sunworld International Harbor around noon, you’ll board a tender boat that takes you to your luxury cruise ship in about 10 minutes.

Once aboard, enjoy a welcome drink during the safety briefing before checking into your comfortable cabin. As you begin cruising through the less-visited Bai Tu Long Bay, you’ll savor a delicious lunch while the spectacular scenery unfolds around you.

Your afternoon includes kayaking through hidden lagoons, swimming in crystal-clear waters, and relaxing on the pristine beaches of Cap La.
