This 15-day adventure takes you through the heart of Indochina, combining Vietnam’s diverse landscapes and vibrant cities with Cambodia’s ancient wonders. You’ll experience everything from Hanoi’s historic charm to the mystical temples of Angkor Wat. Begin in northern Vietnam, exploring Hanoi’s colonial streets before discovering the natural beauty of Ninh Binh and cruising through spectacular Halong Bay. Continue to central Vietnam to wander through Hoi An’s lantern-lit ancient town, then journey south to bustling Ho Chi Minh City to understand Vietnam’s complex history. Finally, cross into Cambodia to witness Phnom Penh‘s royal splendor before culminating your journey at Siem Reap with magnificent Angkor temple complex.

This carefully balanced itinerary includes guided experiences with expert local guides while still giving you free time to make your own discoveries. Everything is arranged for you – 14 nights of accommodations, daily breakfasts, private transportation, domestic flights, English-speaking guides, and all entrance fees.

Day 1: HANOI ARRIVAL

When you arrive at Hanoi airport, your English-speaking guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax after your journey or begin exploring Vietnam’s capital at your own pace.

DAY 2: HANOI HALF-DAY CITY TOUR

Today you’ll discover Hanoi’s charm on a half-day walking tour. Wander through a local market where vendors sell colorful produce and daily goods. Visit O Quan Chuong gateway, a historic entrance to the Old Quarter, before continuing to the impressive Joseph Church with its neo-Gothic architecture. You’ll also see the magnificent Hanoi Opera House, an elegant colonial landmark, and peaceful Sword Lake, the heart of the city. A cyclo (traditional rickshaw) ride through the bustling streets offers a unique perspective of local life.

Optional (Not Included): In the evening, you can join an optional street food tour to taste authentic local dishes while exploring Hanoi’s vibrant nightlife districts.

DAY 3: HANOI - NINH BINH - HOA LU - TAM COC - DANCING CAVE

After breakfast, you’ll journey to Ninh Binh province, known for its stunning limestone karst landscape. Visit the ancient capital of Hoa Lu with its 10th-century temples dedicated to Vietnam’s early kings.

Next, explore the waterways of Tam Coc by traditional sampan boat, gliding through rice fields and limestone caves while your local rower skillfully navigates with their feet.

In the afternoon, enjoy a cycling tour through quiet villages and scenic countryside. Your day concludes with a visit to Mua Cave, where climbing 500 steps rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of the entire valley, making for unforgettable photographs.

Tam coc boat trip

DAY 4: NINH BINH - HALONG PORT - BAI TU LONG BAY - OVERNIGHT ON CRUISE

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel in Ninh Binh between 8:00-8:30 am for your journey to Halong Bay. Upon arrival at Sunworld International Harbor around noon, you’ll board a tender boat that takes you to your luxury cruise ship in about 10 minutes.

Once aboard, enjoy a welcome drink during the safety briefing before checking into your cabin. As you cruise through the less-visited Bai Tu Long Bay, you’ll savor a delicious set menu lunch while taking in the spectacular scenery. Your afternoon includes kayaking through hidden lagoons, swimming in emerald waters, and relaxing on the quiet beaches of Cap La.

As evening approaches, enjoy the sunset party with Happy Hour drinks while the boat anchors in the tranquil Cong Do area for the night. A BBQ dinner on the sundeck (weather permitting) caps off your day, followed by evening activities like board games, squid fishing, or simply stargazing from the luxury sky bar.

DAY 5: VUNG VIENG FISHING VILLAGE - HALONG PORT - HANOI - FLIGHT TO DA NANG - DRIVE TO HOI AN

Rise early for a morning Tai Chi exercise session on the sundeck as the sun rises over the bay. After a light breakfast, visit the traditional Vung Vieng Fishing Village by bamboo boat, witnessing the daily routines of fisher communities who have lived on these waters for generations.

Back on the main boat, enjoy the final scenic views of Halong Bay during lunch as you cruise back to shore. After disembarking, your driver will transfer you to Hanoi for your flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel in charming Hoi An.

DAY 6: HOI AN WALKING ANCIENT TOWN

Go on a walking tour of the Old Quarter. Visit the Chinese Embassy Halls, Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda, ancient Tan Ky House and a walk into the central Hoian market.

DAY 7: HOI AN - FULL DAY BEACH RELAXATION

Today is set aside for relaxation at Hoi An’s beautiful beaches. Spend the day soaking up the sun, swimming in warm waters, and unwinding from your journey so far.

Alternatively, you can choose from several optional activities:
1. Visit the ancient My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO site with remarkable Cham ruins.
2. Take a cooking class to learn authentic Vietnamese recipes
3. Explore Tra Que Organic Village to see traditional farming methods.
4. Enjoy a cycling trip through the surrounding countryside.

DAY 8: HOI AN - DA NANG AIRPORT - FLIGHT TO HO CHI MINH CITY - HALF-DAY CITY TOUR

Our driver will pick you up at the hotel this morning and take you to the airport in time for the early departure to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). When you arrive, our driver and guide will greet you and take you to the city center to check into your hotel.

We begin our half-day city trip in Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon with signature famous attractions just a few highlights:

  • The Old Post Office: Stunning colonial-era building in Ho Chi Minh City with shops and cafes.
  • Notre Dame Cathedral: Iconic landmark in Ho Chi Minh City with a striking red brick facade and beautiful stained glass windows.
  • Independence Hall: Historical site in Ho Chi Minh City with significance in Vietnam’s history, especially during the Vietnam War.
  • War Remnants Museum: Somber museum in Ho Chi Minh City showcasing the impact of the Vietnam War through photographs and exhibits.
  • Ben Thanh Market: Busy marketplace in Ho Chi Minh City for shopping, street food, and a lively atmosphere.

DAY 9: HO CHI MINH CITY -CU CHI TUNNELS HALF-DAY TOUR

This morning, you’ll visit the remarkable Cu Chi Tunnels, located about 70km from the city. This vast network of underground passages stretches over 250km and served as hiding spots, living quarters, hospitals, and supply routes for Viet Cong soldiers during the war. You’ll learn about the ingenuity and resilience of those who lived in these tunnels, see specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers, and kitchens. You’ll even have the opportunity to crawl through a section of the tunnels if you wish.

The afternoon is free for you to continue exploring Ho Chi Minh City at your own pace.

DAY 10: HO CHI MINH CITY FREE DAY

Today is entirely yours to spend as you wish in Ho Chi Minh City. Shop for souvenirs, explore museums, or simply relax at one of the city’s many cafes.

You can also join an optional full-day tour to the Mekong Delta, where you’ll cruise along the mighty Mekong River, visit floating markets, tropical fruit orchards, and see how locals live along the waterways of this fertile region.

DAY 11: HO CHI MINH CITY - FLIGHT TO PHNOM PENH

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital city. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you and take you to your hotel to check in.

The afternoon is yours to begin exploring this city where French colonial elegance meets Khmer heritage, or simply relax after your journey.

DAY 12: PHNOM PENH HALF-DAY CITY TOUR

Breakfast at the hotel. Then transfer to the airport for your flight to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to the hotel for check in. Afternoon, visit Royal Palace is a royal residence now where His Majesty, the King of Cambodia, and the royal families live. it is like a small town of royal dynasties.

Continue to Silver Pagoda, serves less as a functioning temple than a repository for cultural treasures such as 90 kg golden Buddha encrusted with 2086 diamonds and followed by visit Wat Phnom Temple is one of the most important pagodas in Phnom Penh. Built in 1373 on an artificial hill by the wealthy widow Daun Chi Penh. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

DAY 13: PHNOM PENH - FLIGHT TO SIEM REAP

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your short flight to Siem Reap, gateway to the magnificent Angkor temples. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.

The remainder of the day is free for you to explore Siem Reap’s charming town center, visit local markets, or relax by your hotel pool in preparation for tomorrow’s temple adventures.

DAY 14: SIEM REAP - FULL DAY ANGKOR COMPLEX

Today brings the highlight of your journey – a full day exploring the magnificent Angkor complex. Begin at Angkor Thom, entering through its imposing South Gate. At its center stands the enigmatic Bayon Temple with its 54 towers adorned with over 200 smiling faces. Nearby, explore the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King, all showcasing the grandeur of the Khmer Empire. Visit Preah Khan temple, a massive monastic complex dedicated to King Jayavarman VII’s father that once housed over 1,000 monks.

In the afternoon, discover Ta Prohm, where massive tree roots embrace ancient stones in a haunting display of nature reclaiming human creation – a favorite spot for photographers. Your day culminates at Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world. This massive temple complex covers 200 hectares and is surrounded by a vast moat. Marvel at the intricate bas-reliefs depicting Hindu mythology and scenes from daily life, and if time allows, stay to witness a magical sunset over this extraordinary wonder.

DAY 15: SIEM REAP DEPARTURE
