Among heaps of on-line and off-line tour operators I chose Indochina Voyages to organise most of the two-week vacation I and my partner have recently spent in Vietnam… and I was absolutely right as we were surprised by the high-quality standards of the service we received.
All worked out very well, from the comfort of the suggested accomodations, to the absolute punctuality of each transfer. Little lack of spoken English among a couple of our assigned tour guides is the only note I can make, but nothing to worry about.
Special thanks to Ms. Tham, our tour organiser at Indochina Voyages, who managed to assist us with a very flexible, kind and customer focused approach and found a perfect solution for any customisation request we made.
We would certainly recommend Indochina Voyages and we will count on them for our next trips in Indochina.

Having found Indochina Voyages on Trip Advisor, I can really thank previous reviews for a fantastic experience with Tham Tran being our travel advisor. Tham was keen for us to enjoy our visit to Vietnam and Cambodia.
Our whole trip we were accompanied by a private guide and also driver with car. It was the first time we have travelled this way and it was perfect. Each region we visited we had a new guide and driver to suit, so they were very experienced in their home area.
We started in Hanoi, doing market trips plus food on foot tour (eating with locals on the street) followed on with Ha Long bay overnight cruise, kyaking was fun.
Moving onto Sapa was a highlight as we stayed in the Sapa Valley, amongst the villagers in their rice terraces, the views are magnificent, our guide Cuong was so interesting he loved his villages. Staying at the Riverside Lodge is a must, followed with the Ecolodge at another village. Tham our delight in experiencing the Sapa Valley region was immense, thank you.
We continued down Vietnam staying at Hue, then Hoi An before Ho Chi Minh, all were great to see, Lam Lee (Tom) a guide in Ho Chi Minh was another who was so excited by his city, that you just felt his enthusiasim, and realished in it. Our experiences in Vietnam were so varied, we had cooking classes, rode bikes around villages, tried fishing oh so many experiences.
Finally moved to Siem Reap once again Tham planned for a great tour of Angor Wat, and Siem Reap, and we did see so much, even our guide was well trained, as he was watching the large groups moving around, he would tell us to move to a spot so we could get a great photo, before lots of people moved in. We were so thankful for that.
Tham Tran was a delight, phoning our guides, every few days to talk to us, asking were we happy with everything, a very big thankyou for a GREAT experience. We highly recommend Tham from Indochina Voyages.

My husband and I booked a 9-day/8-night tour of Cambodia and North Vietnam through Indochina Voyages, and we were extremely happy with the tour they put together for us! We spent 3 days in Siem Reap, followed by time in Hanoi, Sapa, Ninh Binh Province, and Halong Bay. Every guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and spoke very good English. The transportation was always comfortable, with water available at all times, and pickup and drop-offs were carefully coordinated according to our schedule. The hotels that were booked for us were wonderful, and we got exactly what was expected, if not more. Our contact at Indochina Voyages, Quynh Anh, kept in touch with us throughout the trip to make sure everything was going fine, and she was able to accommodate any changes we requested. I highly recommend Indochina Voyages for travels throughout Indochina.

Let me start by saying that Vietnam is our favourite place in the world to visit. This is because of Indochina Voyages (Nam if I can mention names) being the best agent ever. He booked us lots of day trips throughout Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. To mention a few of our favourite would be difficult because they are all fantastic, but I will try::)
1 – Old Town Hanoi. Nam booked us into the Golden Silk Hotel. We requested a room at the front of the hotel with a balcony. We knew if might be a little noisier then staying at the back of the hotel like the last time but it was well worth it. We could watch the organized chaos of the streets of Old Town Hanoi. We spent our day just watching the people, eating at different local restaurants and shopping for anything you could ever want. Silk Street being one of my favourites. 2- Luang Prabong, Laos. Indochina Voyages arranged a hotel for us right in the middle of town (The Villa Santi). We received a free room upgrade and the room was better then any I had ever seen. Our day included an offering for the Monks set up in front of the hotel for those that would like to offer to the Monks. Seeing the Monks walk single file down the street was one of the highlights of our trip. So quiet, so serene, so beautiful!! After our early morning we had breakfast and continued on with our day wondering around Luang Prabong. We went to the night market later that day and purchased hand painted bags of different teas. Great gifts to bring home to friends. Our guide gave us a great day of sightseeing, shopping, eating and information. 3- After a few days in Laos, Indochina Voyages booked us a flight to Cambodia – Siem Reap and Angkor Wat. That is a dream come true! You won’t believe the beauty Angkor Wat. To understand how this was built and the sheer size of everything. We only had time to see a few of the Wats but did manage to see the best ones with our day guide Troll. He knew more about Siem Reap and Angkor Wat then I thought possible. We had a fantastic day with Troll and will remember forever the time that Indochina Voyages took to make sure all of our day trips were the best of the best. 4 – Mekong River Day trip. My husband and friend had looked forward to this trip for over a year. The were picked up from our hotel and taken to a private boat that took them along the Mekong River. They sailed, stopped for lunch, rode bicycles, saw some authentic Vietnamese homes where they were making hand made candy, pottery etc. They had a great time.
We are so pleased with the way Indochina Voyages helped us with our day trips that we will be sure to use them again. We plan on seeing Northern Thailand and Laos again on our next trip in 2 years. Thank you Nam and Tim Lee for making our dreams come true! Sandy/Dwayne, Doug/Sheri

Hello Anh,
Thank you for your email – we are home safe and sound! We had such a wonderful time in Vietnam and Cambodia, and are very grateful to you and Indochina Voyages for your hard work to make our trip go so smoothly. Our two tour guides were excellent – both were very nice and extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and flexible. And we were so impressed with our drivers – so skillful in difficult traffic! Here are a few notes – I hope you find helpful:
Siem Reap:
• Shinta Mani hotel was SUPERIOR. The hotel was beautiful; the service was excellent; the food was delicious. They are an oasis of calm in the midst of a busy city. We were so pleased that they made a room available to us after we had checked out on Monday so that we could shower when we returned from Banteay Srei.
• Our guide, Mr. Daung Sody, took very good care of us – he went above and beyond to help us get great photos. He was a wealth of knowledge and we learned so much from him. He also did a fantastic job of structuring our tour schedule to miss the crowds at each temple. If you have the opportunity, please pass along our positive comments to his supervisors.
• Phare Circus was delightful – we are so glad you added it to our itinerary! We highly recommend the experience to anyone spending time in Siem Reap.
Sapa:
• Sinh was an excellent tour guide. He gave us so much useful information about what we were seeing during our car ride and then in Sapa. He also did a great job of keeping us informed about our schedule and what to expect next – great communication skills. We felt very lucky to have him as our guide. If you have a chance, please let him know how much we appreciated him!
• Hai (not sure of the spelling of his name?) was such a skillful driver and a great guy – we enjoyed speaking with him!
Halong Bay:
• We loved our time on the Valentine and were so glad we chose a small ship. The crew and staff provided superior service.
• We enjoyed our day trip on the day boat – the kayaking was so much fun!
• The food on the Valentine was delicious and fresh – we enjoyed it very much!.
Hanoi:
• The La Siesta hotel was excellent. They provide such superior service and their location was perfect for exploring Hanoi.
• The Sofitel Plaza was fine – very large and corporate, but we were glad to stay in the west lake area so that we could explore that part of the city.
• We loved our time in Hanoi! It is a graceful, vibrant, beautiful city!
• We went to the Water Puppet Theater and enjoyed it very much.
I will make sure to add a glowing review to Trip Advisor. Again, thank you for your assistance with our trip – we are so pleased with everything and will recommend you highly to our friends!
Best,
Lisa & Geoff
