10% By Ferry and 90% By Road
For those who prefer a more scenic route, you can embark on a combination of ferry and bus journey. This route often takes you around 12 to 14 hours (It depends on whether the routes you choose are divided into different types of buses).
Often, you’ll start by taking a ferry from Phu Quoc to Ha Tien (about 1 hour and 15 minutes), a coastal town in Vietnam. From Ha Tien, you can then continue your journey by bus to cross the border into Cambodia. Once in Cambodia, you can travel by bus or arrange for a private transfer to reach Siem Reap.
If choosing buses from this route, after spending 1 hour by bus from Ha Tien, you’ll stop at Kampot in Cambodia and then continue to transfer to another bus to get to Siem Reap for around 8 hours. With a total of more than 12 hours (if choosing a private car, it takes around 8.5 hours) to transfer from Phu Quoc to Siem Reap, this option allows you to witness the beauty of both land and sea during your travels.
