17th Parallel has a huge meaning in the history of Vietnam on the way to the country independence several decades ago. This itinerary is designed to bring you to the famous destinations of Vietnam and also crossing the DMZ, Nha Trang and Cu Chi Tunnels to get back to history

Day 1 HANOI ARRIVAL

Upon arrival, our staff picks you up at airport, transfer to hotel. Check in and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2 HANOI CITY TOUR

The full day tour takes you around Hanoi’s highlights sites including the Ho Chi Minh Complex: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh Museum and his stilt house, Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda. You also have chance to visit historic University – The Temple of Literature that dates back to the 11th century. Continue to the Ethnology Museum where you can learn about all ethnic groups in Vietnam. Back to the Old Quarter, you can choose to walk or have a ride on electric bus through the narrow streets that were famous for its specialized craft making guilds, The guild streets were named for their product or location and still bear such names nowadays; and then join in a unique water puppet show that features the Viet folklore and culture.

Day 3 HANOI – HALONG

After breakfast, we are ready to be picked up for a 3.5h drive to Halong Bay at 8.30. About 11.30-12.00, you are welcomed on boat and have set lunch while cruising in the bay. Depends on which cruise you choose, the detailed itinerary will basically include visit Amazing cave, kayaking (extra option at most of the boat, some boat has kayaking) included swimming in crystal water and enjoy the landscape. Dinner and overnight on the cruise.

Day 4 HALONG – HANOI – DONG HOI

Wake up on the bay to the sounds of waves, fresh air and breeze welcoming the new day. After breakfast, visit a beautiful limestone grotto then walk back to the boat for a final glimpse of Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. The boat arrives at the harbor by 11.30am and your driver is waiting to take you back to Hanoi for dinner before heading to Dong Hoi by night train. O/n on train.

Day 5 DONG HOI – HUE

Big day is in store right after you get off the train and enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant; drive to former battle fields including Khe Sanh; visit Ta Con airbase, also experience the Vinh moc tunnels, which used to house a communists base. After a tranquil, scenic drive, arrive in Hue in the early evening.

Day 6 HUE CITY

Breakfast in hotel and meet up with our local guide again to start a day exploring the charms of The Citadel in this former Imperial City with many well-preserved royal monuments in Hue. Board a dragon boat cruising the Huong River. Stop at Thien Mu Pagoda and then back to the car to visit Minh Mang and Tu Duc’s tomb. In the afternoon, visit the Citadel, Forbidden Purple City and the Dong Ba Market. Overnight in Hue.

Day 7 HUE – DA NANG – HOI AN

Spend the morning for the last shopping before transfer to Hoi An. On the way, we stop to visit Ngu Hanh Son (Marble Mountain). Climb Thuy Son (Water) by the stone stairs and enjoy the panoramic view of the nearby countryside and visit Huyen Khong cave before entering Tam Thai and Ling Ung pagodas. Rest at the foot of the mountain where you can visit Non Nuoc stone village where the local skilled sculptors create many marble products which are exported to countries worldwide. Reach Hoi An in the afternoon, we leave our luggage at the hotel and start our walking tour. We visit the Chinese Embassy Halls, Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda & Tan Ky House. Afternoon will be free time to for shopping or relax. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 8 HOI AN – NHA TRANG

After breakfast, transferring to Da nang for taking flight to Nha Trang. Arrive at Camranh airport in Nha Trang and drive to downtown of this sun-washed city, check in your hotel and be ready for your beach break.

Day 9 NHA TRANG

Leisure time on beach. Overnight in Nha Trang

Day 10 NHA TRANG – HO CHI MINH CITY

Transfer to airport for afternoon flight to Saigon. On arrival transfer and check in to your hotel.

Day 11 HO CHI MINH – CU CHI TUNNEL

After breakfast, we start our tour to all the hot spots including Central Post Office, Reunification Palace and the provocative War Remnants Museum; browse for some souvenirs at the bustling BenThanh market or stroll along the ancient Rue Catinat (now Dong Khoi Street). Fascinating and extraordinary, this city’s life and lights seem not to stop until well past midnight. Drive to the outskirts of the city to Cu Chi to witness the tremendous work done by V.C and guerrilla fighters during the Vietnam war, the complicated network of tunnels that remains to these days.

Day 12 HO CHI MINH – MEKONG DELTA

After breakfast, we take a smooth ride to southern Saigon and reach the land that is home to friendly Mekong farmers and fishermen; walk across their lush orchards and sample a variety of seasonal tropical fruits; venture out in a small sampan and glide through the narrow canals and enjoy the tasty food of the Mekong, which is interestingly garnished and offered by these hospitable locals. Transfer back to Saigon in the afternoon.

Day 13 HO CHI MINH DEPARTURE

This morning, enjoy a leisure breakfast; perhaps take a walk to the central lake area or do some last minute shopping. Be packed and ready for your flight home or onward for an extension to Laos
